Business Tips: How to build a profitable online store for your business
The secrets of building a reputable online store revealed
It is very clear that there is a big opportunity in owning an efficient online store in Nigeria, this isuildi because of Nigeria’s population which is about 160 to 170 million people, and about 80 to 90 million are under the age of 20 which simply makes Nigeria largest consumer market in Africa generating huge demand for internet enabled devices like mobile phones, laptops, personal computers, and other mobile gadgets that would enable easy access to internet and shop online.
It can also be clearly seen the likes of jumia, konga, hotels.com,wakanow are leaders in online business having attracted over N200billion worth of foreign direct investments in Nigeria within a short period of time.
Some online store wind-up few months after coming into existence as a result of their failure in understanding the underlying principles relating to the success of the above mentioned online business leaders. But do not worry I would explain to you the reason behind their success.
There are some basic questions you need to answer in other for you to be able to run a profitable online store. These questions are
- What is your product: you have to be certain about the product you are to sell, in other words you must be certain about your niche market when starting an online store, i.e focusing on a particular or set of similar products for example hotel.ng deals with hotel booking, DealDey focus on discounted products, wakanow focus on travels like wise so many others with a definite niche market.
For any product you want to start selling, be it digital products(e-books,video tutorials, etc) or non-digital products(physical items), you should have in mind that there are other locations where those products can be acquired, so you must be simply technical in running your online store in such a way that you have a better compelling reasons why your customers should buy from you. These compelling reasons can easily be achieved by solving the target customers pre-purchase problems, by educating them with outstanding contents or let me say orientations.
What I am trying to say in essence is that you have to really identify the problem your target customers are facing, so as to enable you provide or proffer a solution in form of writing or maybe manual on how to use the products or even explaining your product quality to them. Although this problems may vary, so it is your duty to identify whatsoever problem the target customers are facing.
With that you have closed the sale and can even charge a premium, but let me remind you that before you would be able to charge a premium you must have done what other competitors are not doing.
- Who are your target customers: when starting an online store you need that customers, differs, Mr.A is different from Mr.B, so yu have to be realsiticand note thatall customers are different. Therefore you must identify the following,
a.What are the passion of your target customers, you must identify the like or preference of your customers and offer products and value relating to the passion of that customer, for example, when selling clothes you might want to know the color the target customer prefers before offering the customer any clothes for purchase.
b. Try to know the problems facing your target market or customers, if you can profer solutions to your customers pressing issue on your online store, then it’s a jackpot for you, your online store is bound to hit its peak in a short while, wakanow books fliht online, one of there target customers are individuals who have tight schedule and would not be able to go to the airports to get flight tickets, this class of customers use their smartphones to book flght online which saves them time they never had, you would see that wakanow must have provided a good payment platform that would make it easy for such category of customers.
c. Put into consideration the sex,age and location of your target customer, because it will definitely have a dramatic impact on your online store.
d. Mode of payment: you have to integrate an efficient payment gate way thwt will allow yor customers pay at ease with theeeir debit or credit card as well as make other payment options like cash on delivery, pos terminals, bank deposit ,etc. available because like i said earlier customer differs, mr.a might like to run cashless transaction and mr.b would prefer otherwise.
e. Mode of transporting the product to your target customers:n this is a major problem that is affiliated with online store, because you have to really plan on how to handle shipping and delivery of your products by carefully analyzing the following
- Will you charge cost of delivery?
- What is the charge for product delivery?
- Will you consider offering free product delivery?
- How perfect can you carryout product delivery?
- Can your business absorb the cost?
NB: this questions will help you satisfy your customers when properly answered
Nobody can turn Nigeria into a one religion state...W.F Kumuyi speaks
Pastor William Kumuyi, General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, has said that imposing one religion on a country will take a long process and as such, nobody can Islalmise or Christianise Nigeria.
Pastor Kumuyi, who is in Calabar, Cross River State, for a crusade, told Vanguard at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, that no religion advocates the killing of others, so the reported killings of Christians in some parts of the country have to be investigated before reaching a conclusion on the motive behind the killings. He said: “It is not easy for a person to impose his will on the rest of the country because to do so will take a process which cannot easily be achieved in a country with divergent religious practices like Nigeria.” He said that the current economic recession in the country was a passing phase that will lead to better times in the near future. “We are passing through a stage though this is one of the worst recession in the country and we cannot put the blame on one thing or person as the cause because different things contributed at different times to the situation,” Kumuyi said.

naija university to search student laptop for porn videos?
eact
Although the school has neither confirmed nor denied this yet, twitter account (@Babcockuni_ng) is currently trending and receiving backlash on Nigerian twitter for stating that there would be a thorough search for pornographic videos in the laptops of all undergraduates of Babcock university, when they arrive for a new semester. The account (which is probably a parody account) advised the students to "reduce it to the lowest level possible." Lol. Anyway, some Nigerians on twitter took it personal and stated their opinions. benefits of wearing natural makeups...tips you must know
There is, of course, nothing wrong with makeup; it’s a great way of expressing yourself, but sometimes, it can be good to wear less and let your natural beauty take centre stage with more natural looking makeup.
Less makeup not only means less time but there are some other important practical benefits too, so here are our top ten benefits of opting for the natural makeup look sometimes.
Less touching up during the day: The first big benefit of wearing natural looking makeup is that you don’t have to worry all day long about how it looks. There will be less trying to find a mirror, less fixing smears and smudges, and fewer interruptions to what you are doing, in order to do a quick makeup fix.
It feels lighter on warm days: Going for a more natural makeup look, will mean that your face will feel fresher and lighter. You won’t be worrying about your makeup streaking in the heat and you will be able to feel the fresh breeze on your face too.
It will save you money: Quite obviously, the less makeup you use, the less money you will spend. When you go for the natural look more often, you can save your money for really expensive makeup on those special nights out
Better skin: Your skin needs to breathe; using heavy amounts of makeup on your skin can cause more irritation in your pores, which causes inflammation from bacteria. By keeping the make-up light, you allow your skin to breathe more easily and rest from chemicals. You’ll find that, as you use less makeup, you will need less, because your skin will start to look clearer and fresher.
The mornings will be less rushed: Just imagine how much time you would save in the mornings, if you weren’t applying all that heavy makeup. If you keep things simple and natural looking, you have far more time for other things in the mornings, or even an extra ten minutes in bed.
Less hassle at night: Your nighttime routine is greatly simplified too when you wear natural looking makeup. It’s easy to clean off the skin in just a few seconds, so you will never be tempted to go to bed with your makeup still on again.
It will give you more confidence: When you go out with less makeup on, you realise that people are not admiring your skills as a makeup artist, they are admiring the real you. It can be a big boost to the self-confidence, when you let the world see you and you find out that the world likes what they see.
You will feel like you can be yourself: Heavy makeup can make you feel like you are wearing a mask and not exposing the real person who is behind it. Wearing natural looking makeup can inspire you to express the true you in other ways, like your clothes and how you behave. If you’ve never tried natural looking makeup, then give it a try. It can actually be quite a liberating experience.

Donald Trump vows to start deportation once he wins and is inaugrated
Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, has linked illegal immigration and employment, pledging to start deporting offenders as soon as he is sworn in, should he become the White House's next occupant. .
.
While in Des Moines, Iowa, he said: "On day one, I am going to begin swiftly removing criminal illegal immigrants from this country — including removing the hundreds of thousands of criminal illegal immigrants that have been released into US communities under the Obama-Clinton administration.
.
.
Every time an African-American citizen, or any citizen, loses their job to an illegal immigrant, the rights of that American citizen have been totally violated. I am going to build a great border wall, institute nationwide e-verify, stop illegal immigrants from accessing welfare and entitlements.
.
.
I'll develop an exit-entry tracking system to ensure those who overstay their visas are quickly removed. If we don't enforce visa expiration dates, then we have an open border. A vote for Trump is a vote to have a nation of laws, a vote for Clinton is a vote for open borders.".... which will turn U.S into another Nigeria

Semenya is not a woman, other athletes who competed against her laments
South African 800m runner, Caster Semenya won the Olympic 2016 gold and the other women in the field have cried out that it was difficult competing against her. Briton Lynsey Sharp who was placed sixth in that race argued that the decision to overturn rules on testosterone suppression made competing against the women’s Olympic 800m champion, Semenya, and other hyperandrogenic athletes difficult. Semenya Semenya set a new national record with her 1.55. 28 seconds run. Francine Niyonsaba of Burundi won silver with 1.56.49 and Kenya’s Margaret Wambuiken was third with 1.56.89 her personal best. Semenya made a return to form after the court of arbitration for sport overturned a rule created by the International Association of Athletics Federations which had forced athletes with naturally high levels of testosterone to take hormone-suppressing drugs. Sharp told the BBC after the race: “I have tried to avoid the issue all year. You can see how emotional it all was. We know how each other feels. It is out of our control and how much we rely on people at the top sorting it out. The public can see how difficult it is with the change of rule but all we can do is give it our best. “I was coming down the home straight, we were not far away and you can see how close it is. That is encouraging. We will work hard and aim to come back even stronger.” Semenya’s is certain to further inflame the scientific and ethical storm about whether she, as an intersex athlete, should be allowed to compete with women. Semenya, whose body has been subjected to brutal and unprecedented scrutiny for years, was a full two seconds short of breaking Jarmila Kratochvilova’s 33-year-old world record, but still posted the fastest two-lap time this year of one minute 55.28 seconds

New case of lassa fever in the eastern part of Nigeria, 2 killed already
Dr Emmanuel Okafor, the Director of Public Health, Anambra Ministry of Health, on Thursday confirmed the death of a medical doctor and two others due to new cases of Lassa fever in the state. The director confirmed the report at one-day workshop on Lassa fever organised by the ministry to sensitise health professionals in the state on the disease in Awka. However, he said that the outbreak was not yet in an epidemic proportion in the state. Okafor said that the workshop was aimed at training the health professionals who would go to the grassroots to educate the people on the prevention of the disease. “In Anambra we don’t know the number of cases of the disease but we have three confirmed deaths,’’ he said. He urged health workers to exercise high standard of professionalism in handling Lassa fever cases. Okafor said the state government had put in place proactive measures to handle the scourge. Speaking earlier, Dr Jane Ezeonu, a resource person at the workshop, first broke the news of the death of the doctor and the two other persons. Ezeonu said that the medical doctor died three days ago at the Nnamdi Azikiwe General Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi. She, however, said that the late medical doctor was referred to NAUTH from Asaba, Delta state. Ezeonu stressed the need for adequate prevention mechanism to be taken on the issue. The doctor warned people against drinking raw garri (cassava flour), advising residents to ensure protection of their food and related items from rats. “People don’t acquire immunity after suffering from Lassa fever. General hygiene is the key for prevention,’’ Ezeonu said. Also speaking at the occasion, Dr Okwuchukwu Chukwuka, Permanent Secretary, in the ministry, said there was no epidemic of the disease in the state. Chukwuka, who represented the Commissioner for Health, Dr Josephat Akabuike, said the workshop was part of the proactive measures adopted by the state government. “It is a training workshop for health professionals in the 21 local government areas of the state who would sensitise and disseminate information about Lassa fever to the grassroots. “We are having the workshop for prevention, not that we have an epidemic in the state,” Chukwuka said.

2. #PHELPSFACE
The minute the NBC cameras spent showing Chad le Clos clowning around in front of an unamused Michael Phelps before the two faced off in the 200m butterfly semi-finals spawned amazing memes and launched the hashtag #PhelpsFace (the hashtag really should’ve been #PhelpsPhace, but what can you do).
3. WHEN SIMONE BILES BROUGHT ALY RAISMAN UP TO CELEBRATE HER WIN WITH HER
After Simone Biles won gold in the women’s all-around gymnastics competition, she pulled her teammate and silver-medal winner Aly Raisman up onto the floor to celebrate with her.
4. IBTIHAJ MUHAMMAD AND THE U.S. WOMEN’S SABER TEAM’S BRONZE MEDAL

6. MONICA PUIG’S GOLD MEDAL IN TENNIS

7. JUSTIN ROSE’S CHIP ON THE 18TH HOLE
Great Britain’s Justin Rose hit an incredible 25 yard chip that secured him a gold medal in men’s golf for the first time the sport has been in the Olympics since 1904.
8. KRISTIN’S ARMSTRONG’S DETERMINATION AND COLLAPSE
Kristin Armstrong fought off awful rain and a nose bleed to win gold in cycling a day before her 43rd birthday. After the race, she dropped off her bike and collapsed in exhaustion; someone lifted her 5-year-old son over the fence and he sprinted into her arms as she lay on the ground.
9. USAIN BOLT’S TURBO-CHARGED 100M RACE
It seemed like Usain Bolt hit a button to kick into turbo mode when he came up behind Justin Gatlin to win gold in the men’s 100 meters. The photo from the semi-finals beforehand launched almost as many memes as #PhelpsFace.
10. LILLY KING’S FINGER WAG
Lilly King started a new American victory celebration when she wagged her fingerat a picture of Russian swimmer Yulia Efimova, who’d been suspended from the sport for doping. It launched a warbetween the two (neither was the clear winner out of the pool), as well as a new way for Americans to celebrate: Phelps waved his finger after winning several of his bajillion gold medals, too.
11. WHEN A LITHUANIAN WEIGHTLIFTER CELEBRATED WINNING BRONZE WITH A BACKFLIP
Aurimas Didzbalis was so, so jazzed about winning bronze that he promptly flipped over backwards with joy. Which means that if he ever wants to change sports, gymnastics seems like a pretty safe bet.
12. ADELINDE CORNELISSEN BOWING OUT OF DRESSAGE TO PROTECT HER HORSE

Sarah Robles won the first medal in weightlifting for the United States since 2000 when she took home the bronze in the women’s over-75-kilogram category, ending a 16-year drought.
14. EVERY KATIE LEDECKY RACE
More so than anyone else in these Olympics, Katie Ledecky’s dominance in the pool has been utterly captivating. The high point came at the 800-meter freestyle, where she claimed an incredible 11 second victory, set a new world record (8:04.79), and won her fourth gold medal of the games.
15. THE DIVE
Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas dove across the finish line to edge out Allyson Felix for the gold in the women’s 400 meters.
